True School of Music – Mumbai hosted Kale in a masterclass talk titles Karsh Chronicles where he took students through the many chapters of his musical journey .
Karsh Kale embarked on a countrywide tour of India for the UP Tour featuring Wolves on visuals.
The tour also featured KKC alum Warren Mendonsa, Jayant Luthra, Benny Dayal, Apeksha Dandekar, Ajay Prasanna, Jai Row Kavi, Monali Thakur with new additions Karan Deshmukh, Anuraag Dhoundeyal, Aditya Prakash and Azeem Ahmed Alvi.
The tour hit places like Jaipur Literature Festival, Kala Ghoda Festival Mumbai, Outlawed Festival Kolkata, The Gig Carnival Delhi, The Lost Party Festival Lonavla and Blue Frog Mumbai.
Karsh was asked to curate and present a night for a select audience including the CM of Maharashtra celebrating the rich artistic history and future of Maharashtran art and music for Make In India. Presented by CII, KKC was joined by percussion master Tauphiq Qureshi, Dholchi Vijay Chavan, Bansuri Virtuoso Paras Nath and Sitar Maestro Ravi Chary.
Karsh Kale’s 5th Solo Album ‘UP’ released on Six Degrees Records (Worldwide) and Times Music (India) on Jan 29th. The album debuted at #1 on the India Pop Charts and stayed there for 3 weeks. It also debuted at #3 on The iTunes US World Music Charts, #6 UK World Music Charts, and #8 on the All India Charts.

Dingding and Kale composed and produced 11 songs sung in Mandarin, Tibetan and Sanskrit which also featured guests Salim Merchant , Benny Dayal, Naveen Kumar, Warren Mendonsa, Azeem Alvi and GRAIN.

Karsh Kale has been hired by Universal / China to produce an album with one of their most celebrated electronic pop artists Sa Dingding. She has been compared to artists like Bjork and Imogen Heap and sings in Mandarin, Sanskrit and Tibetan and has explored many styles of electronic and ambient music. The album production is scheduled to take place in NY, Beijing and India over the next few months.

Signature Expressions - Karsh performed and acted as mentor to two bands as part of the Signature Expressions mentor web series. The series culminated with a finale show at Mahalaxmi Race Coarse in Mumbai.
